PLAATSEN VAN WETENSCHAPPELIJKE INSTRUMENTEN                  

Paramaribo, 14 oktober 2026                                                                                   

Van 20 oktober tot en met 25 november 2026 zullen wetenschappelijke instrumenten worden geplaatst op een afstand van vijfenzeventig tot honderd nautische mijl (75 NM – 100 NM) voor de kust van Suriname door het vaartuig MS Dona Jose II.

 

De instrumenten zullen op een diepte van ongeveer honderdvijftig meter (150 m)  onderwater worden geplaatst, die middels een aanleglijn aan de zeebodem zal worden bevestigd.

Let wel!

• Het MS Dona Jose II zal tijdens de operatie beperkt manoeuvreerbaar zijn en de relevante tekens tonen.
• Vaartuigen dienen tijdens de operatie een veilige afstand van ten minste drie nautische mijlen (3 NM) van het MS Dona Jose II te houden.
• De communicatie geschiedt via de VHF kanaal 16.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

CHART 2017

OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME

DEPLOYMENT OF SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS

 

From the 20^th  of October till the 25^th of November 2026, scientific instruments will be placed at seventy-five to one hundred nautical miles (75 NM – 100 NM) off the coast of Suriname by the vessel MV Dona Jose II.

 

The instruments will be placed at a depth of approximately one hundred and fifty meters (150 m), which will be attached to the seabed by a mooring line.

Please note:

• During the operations, the MV Dona Jose II will be restricted in maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
• Vessels must maintain a safe distance of at least three nautical miles (3 NM) from the MV Dona Jose II during the operation.
• Communication is through VHF channel 16.

 

All ships should take notice of the above-mentioned.
