ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
CHART 2017
OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS
From 21st till October 28th, 2024, scientific instruments will be placed at fifty-four to fifty-five nautical miles (54 NM – 55 NM) off the coast of Suriname by the research vessel Leadership.
Current meters will be placed near the seabed at the following locations:

Please note:
- During the operation, the vessel Leadership will be restricted in maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
- Vessels must maintain a safe distance of at least five hundred meters (500 m) from Leadership during the operation.
- Communication is through VHF channel 12.
