ENTRANCE COMMEWIJNE RIVER
NAVIGATION CHANNEL MOVED AND CHART DATUM ADJUSTED
Due to the change in the entrance of the Commewijne River, the navigation channel will be moved on the period of 14th and 15th of May 2024. The minimum chart depth (chart Datum) is set at 3.3 m (three and three tenth meters) at low water spring (LWS) on Nautical Chart no. 2218/2765 – 2219 and corresponding ENC.
As part of the shifting of the navigation channel, the buoys will be modified in accordance with the table below:

Following the above, the accessibility Commewijne river CD 3.3m with a minimum UKC of 0.30m will be as follows;
The calculations above are based on mean values. The actual tide can be lower or higher than the mean values. The day-to-day tidal information is published in the annual tide tables of the Maritime Authority of Suriname.
All ships and other river users should take notice of the above-mentioned.
