ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
SARAMACCARIVER
SEISMIC RESEARCH
On 15th and 16th January 2014, a seismic research will be conducted in the Saramaccariver.
The survey area has the following coordinates (WGS’ 84):
- 05° 52’.004 N – 55° 40’.557 W
- 05° 51’.762 N – 55° 40’.557 W
- 05° 51’.741 N – 55° 40’.017 W
- 05° 51’.971 N – 55° 40’.017 W
A cable with white light and reflective tape will be placed across the entire width of the river, which is 2 (two) to 10 (ten) meters above the water surface. During the operations there will be 4 (four) boats present, which will be located 200 (two hundredth) meters on both sides of the cable.
The section mentioned above is completely closed for all ships during this period.
All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.
