SURINAME RIVER, DIJKVELDBANK
DREDGING ACTIVITIES KULDIPSINGH PORT FACILITY

From July 29th till August 2nd, 2020 dredging activities will take place alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Kuldipsingh Port Facility” by the dredging vessel ELBE.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

B  05° 46’.679 N   055° 09’.316 W
C  05° 46’.510 N   055° 09’.177 W
D  05° 46’.500 N   055° 09’.190 W

Dredging will be executed by a suction hopper dredger which will suck the dredged material from the river bottom. The dredged material will be dumped on the western side of the entrance of the Suriname River outside the navigation channel.

The operations will take place around the clock (24 hours). The dredging vessel ELBE will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging.

Communication is through the VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
