ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

SURINAME RIVER, ANCHORAGE AREA SUZANNASDAAL
DREGDING ACTIVITIES

With reference to NtM NO.44/2020T, regarding dredging work that was conducted in the anchorage area of Suzannasdaal by the dredging vessels EAGLET, HANGBO 3005 and HANGBO 3006, you are informed that the works have been extended until 30th of April 2020.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

A  05° 51’.788 N   55° 05’.794 W
B  05° 51’.813 N   55° 05’.504 W
C  05° 51’.541 N   55° 05’.476 W
D  05° 51’.518 N   55° 05’.759 W

Dredging activities will take place around the clock. The vessels EAGLET, HANGBO 3005 and HANGBO 3006 will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging and will carry the necessary lighting and signs.

Please Note!
During this period, the working area will not be accessible to shipping and other water users temporarily.

For passage into the navigation channel, direct communication with the dredging vessels and the Vessel Traffic Control of the MAS will be necessary.

Communication is through the VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
