3D SEISMIC RESEARCH
From October 15th, 2020 till March 1st, 2021 the survey vessel Geo Caribbean will conduct a 3D seismic survey at sixty nautical miles (60 NM) off the coast of Suriname in block 52.
The research area has the following coordinates:

The survey vessel will tow seismic cables with a length of eleven kilometer (11 km) and a width of two kilometer (2 km), which are ten to twenty meters (10-20m) below the water surface. At the end of the cables there will be tail buoys with white flashing light attached. The vessel will sail with a speed of 3-5 knots.
Vessels must maintain a safe distance of at least nine nautical miles (9 NM) of Geo Caribbean. The Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) that will assist during the operations are Victory G, Astra G and Linde G.
Please note:
• Communication is through VHF channels 16 and 72.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of nine nautical miles (9 NM) around Geo Caribbean.
• Geo Caribbean will sail at different courses, has restricted maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
