EXPLORATIE BORINGEN

Met referte aan BaZ NO.93/2019T, betreffende het uitvoeren van exploratie boringen voor de kust van Suriname, wordt u geïnformeerd dat het boorplatform West Castor zal worden verplaatst in de periode van 21 oktober tot en met 25 oktober 2019 (exacte datum niet bekend) naar de locatie genaamd “Gonini” met de coördinaten 06° 09’.534 N – 055° 27’.099 W (WGS 84). Het boorplatform zal gedurende een periode van 30 dagen boorwerkzaamheden op de aangegeven locatie verrichten.

Tijdens de verplaatsing van het boorplatform West Castor moeten alle vaartuigen en water gebruikers een veilige afstand van ten minste duizend meter (1000 m) aanhouden. Het boorplatform zal beperkt manoeuvreerbaar zijn en de relevante tekens tonen.
Eenmaal op locatie zal een VEILIGHEIDSZONE van vijfhonderd meter (500 m) van het boorplatform van kracht zijn.

De begeleidende vaartuigen Zorro Grande II, KTK Tribon en Statia Responder zullen assisteren bij de uitvoering van de werkzaamheden.

De communicatie geschiedt via de VHF kanalen 6 en 10.

De scheepvaart dient hiermee rekening te houden.

RESEARCH DRILLING

With reference to BaZ NO.93 / 2019T, concerning the execution of exploration drilling off the coast of Suriname, you are informed that the offshore Jack Up Rig West Castor will be relocated in the period from October 21st to October 25th, 2019 (exact date unknown) to the location named “Gonini” with the coordinates 06 ° 09′.534 N – 055 ° 27′.099 W (WGS 84). The drilling platform will carry out drilling work at the specified location for a period of 30 days.

During the relocation of the offshore Jack Up Rig West Castor, all vessels and water users must maintain a safe distance of at least a thousand meters (1000 m). TheJack Up Rig will be maneuverable to a limited extent and display the relevant signs.
Once on site a SAFETY ZONE of five hundred meters (500 m) from the drilling platform will be in force.

The accompanying vessels Zorro Grande II, KTK Tribon and Statia Responder will assist in carrying out the operations.

Communication is through the VHF channels 6 and 10.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
