ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
COAST MAROWIJNE
SURVEY ACTIVITIES

In the period May 19th till May 31st, 2014, the survey vessel “MARWINA” will be conducting survey activities along the coast of the district Marowijne and on the Tijgerbank in the mouth of the Marowijneriver.

The survey area has the following coordinates (WGS’ 84):

1. 05° 58’ 51.51” N – 054° 37’ 44.69” W
2. 05° 49’ 42.96” N – 054° 01’ 03.02” W
3. 05° 44’ 33.81” N – 053° 59’ 11.33” W
4. 05° 45’ 40.32” N – 053° 56’ 50.95” W
5. 05° 52’ 14.92” N – 053° 55’ 40.22” W
6. 05° 57’ 32.72” N – 054° 01’ 24.70” W
7. 06° 08’ 35.43” N – 054° 37’ 22.90” W

Communication is through the VHF channel 16.

Please note:
The “MARWINA” will sail at different courses. The vessel has restricted maneuverability and will be unable to stop. Thereby the vessel will carry the specified characters.

At daytime:
The vessel will carry three figures vertically above each other. The upper and lower figures are a spherical shape with a red color and in the middle a diamond shape with a white color.
 
At night:
The vessel will carry three lights vertically above in the colors red, white, red.
 
All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned and to keep a safe distance from the survey vessel.
