ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
SURINAMERIVER – NEAR JODENSAVANNE
SHIIPPING ARRANGEMENT

Due to the bridge construction in the Suriname river near Jodensavanne, buoys and signs will be placed.

Red and green traffic signs will be placed at Carolina (position 05° 26ʹ 11.25ʺN – 054° 59ʹ 30.47ʺW) and at the south bend of Jodensavanne (position 05° 24ʹ 51.05ʺN – 054° 59ʹ 06.35ʺW). Red stands for closed fairway and green for open fairway.

The shipping arrangement will come into force from July 7th till August 8th 2014 and is as follows:
Approaching from the north (sea).
Navigate to the left side of the red buoy JS1
Navigate between the red – and green buoys JS3 – JS2 and JS5 – JS4.
Navigate to the left side of the red buoy JS7.

Please note:

• Communication is through the VHF channel 12.
  
• Obligation to report to the boat “Ballast Nedam” by VHF before the Carolina Bridge and near the anchorage of Jodensavanne.
  
• Temporary anchorage areas during the activities are at Carolina (position 05° 26ʹ 47.82ʺN – 054° 59ʹ 35.26ʺW) and at Jodensavanne (position 05° 24ʹ 52.00ʺN – 054° 59ʹ 17.82ʺW).
  
• All ships are only allowed through the Carolina Bridge between 06:00 h and 18:00 h as is indicated in BAZ no. 01/2013.

All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.
