ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

SURINAME RIVER, DIJKVELDBANK
DREDGING ACTIVITIES KULDIPSINGH PORT FACILITY

From 9th till the 16th of September 2020 dredging activities will be conducted alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Kuldipsingh Port Facility” by the dredging vessels EAGLET, HANGBO 3005 and HANGBO 3006.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

A  05° 46’.669 N   055° 09’.329 W
B  05° 46’.679 N   055° 09’.316 W
C  05° 46’.510 N   055° 09’.177 W
D  05° 46’.500 N   055° 09’.190 W

The operations will take place around the clock (24 hours). The dredging vessels EAGLET, HANGBO 3005 and HANGBO 3006 will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging and will carry the necessary lighting and signs. The dredged material will be dumped on the western side of the entrance of the Suriname River outside the navigation channel.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.
