ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

SURINAME RIVER, DIJKVELDBANK
DREDGING ACTIVITIES KULDIPSINGH PORT FACILITY

From the 1st till the 8th of December 2021 dredging activities will be conducted alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Vensur Jetty” by the dredging vessel Lesse.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

B 05° 46’.390 N    055° 09’.003 W
C 05° 46’.257 N    055° 08’.968 W
D 05° 46’.176 N    055° 08’.881 W

The operations will take place around the clock (24 hours). The dredging vessel Lesse will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging and will carry the necessary lighting and signs. The dredged material will be dumped on the western side of the entrance of the Suriname River outside the navigation channel.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
