ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

SURINAME RIVER
TEMPORARY SECURITY ZONE

The public is hereby informed that the part of the Suriname River approximately 400 (four hundred) meters from the shore, located between the van Sommelsdijck creek and the SMS Jetty is temporary considered a Security Zone where entry as well as anchoring of vessels is prohibited.

The Security Zone will be in force on Thursday 25th of November 2021 from 00:00 till 24:00 hour.

The area is indicated by the following coordinates:

A. 05° 49’.553 N – 055° 08’.872 W
B. 05° 49’.456 N – 055° 09’.284 W
C. 05° 49’.295 N – 055° 09’.262 W
D. 05° 49’.337 N – 055° 08’.796 W

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
