ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

FAIRWAY SURINAME RIVER
HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS

From August 13th till August 20th, 2021 hydrographic surveys will be conducted in the navigation channel of the Suriname River with the survey vessels Kabalebo and Perola. The survey area is from ten-kilometer (10 km) north of LS buoy till two kilometer (2 km) south of D10 buoy.

The survey area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:
         Latitude      Longitude
A 06° 11’.966 N  055° 12’.708 W
B 05° 43’.391 N  055° 06’.154 W

The surveys will be conducted daily from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. The vessels will be restricted in maneuverability during surveys.

Communication is through VHF channel 15.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
