ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
CHART 2017
OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
EXPLORATION DRILLING

With reference to NtM NO.10/2021T, regarding exploration drilling off the Coast of Suriname at the drilling location 07° 25’.5 N – 056° 00’.5 W (WGS 84), you are informed that the drillship Maersk Valiant has extended his operations until July 31st ,2021.

For safety reason vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drillship.

Please note:
• Communication is through VHF channels 16 and 77.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling site.
• Maersk Valiant is not maneuverable and will display the relevant characters.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
