ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC

SURINAME RIVER, DIJKVELDBANK
DREDGING ACTIVITIES VABI PORT FACILITY

From July 1st till the 30th of September 2021 dredging activities will take place alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Vabi Port Facility” with pontoons and tugboats.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:
           Latitude       Longitude
A   05° 46’.433 N   055° 09’.116 W
B   05° 46’.516 N   055° 09’.200 W

The dredged material will be dumped at a privately owned land near plantation Rust & Werk at the right bank of the Commewijne River.
The operations will take place during daytime.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
