SURINAMERIVER DOMBURG – PARAMARIBO
SWIMMING MARATHON
SHIPPING TEMPORARY PROHIBITED

On Tuesday July 1st 2014, the Swimming Marathon will be held in the Suriname river.

The starting point is at Domburg (05° 42’ 05.00” N – 055° 04’ 48.00” W) and the finish at the Marine Trap in Paramaribo. There shall be two yellow buoys placed, namely near the Marine trap on position  05° 49’ 28.24” N – 055° 09’ 05.63” W with light character Iso.Y.8s and near EBS in position 05° 49’ 05.63” N – 055° 09’ 45.33” W with light character Iso.Y.8s

The buoys will temporary be placed from Friday June 25th till Tuesday July 8th, 2014. 
 
During the Swimming Marathon on July 1st the section mentioned above is prohibited to all shipping between 09:00 h – 13:00 h.

The swimmers are escorted by boats of the Maritime Authority Suriname, Maritime Police and volunteers.

All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.
