ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
CHART 2017
OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
EXPLORATION DRILLING 

From July 1^st till October 28^th, 2026, the drill platform Borr Sif will conduct exploration drilling at sixty-seven nautical miles (67 NM) off the coast of Suriname at the drilling location 07° 08.355′ N – 055° 41.162′ W (WGS 84).

For safety reasons, vessels should keep a safe distance of at least two nautical miles (2 NM) from the drill platform. The Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) that will assist during the operations are Handin Tide and Homerun P.

Please note:

• Communication is through VHF channels 16 and 6.
• A safe distance of at least two nautical miles (2 NM) must be kept from the drill platform.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of five hundred meters (500 m) from the drilling site.
• Borr Sif will not be maneuverable during drilling activities and will display the relevant characters.

All ships should take notice of the above-mentioned.
