10 km Open Water Event
Shipping temporary prohibited

On Sunday February 2nd 2014, a 10 km Open Water Event will be held in the Suriname River.

The starting point is at Parariver (5° 44’ 53” N – 55° 07’ 39” W) and the finish at the “Marine Trap” in Paramaribo. The finish will be marked with a red buoy (white light with character Iso.W.4s).

The section mentioned above will be temporary prohibited to all shipping on Sunday,
February 2nd 2014 between 07:00h – 12:00h.

The swimmers will be escorted by boats of the Maritime Authority Suriname, the Maritime Police and volunteers.

All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.
