NEAR ENTRANCE SURINAME RIVER – WEG NAAR ZEE
CABLE LAYING
From the 03rd till 31st of December 2023, infrastructure work will be carried out for the laying of an underwater cable off the coast, at three kilometer western of the entrance of the Suriname River near Weg naar Zee by the multipurpose vessel Zouti and tugboat Friendship.
The work area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

The work activities will take place during daylight. The MV Zouti will be towed by MV Friendship during work activities.
Please note!
- During the laying of the underwater cable the MV Zouti and MV Friendship will be restricted in maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
- Vessels must keep a distance of at least 100 m from the work area.
- Communication is through VHF channel 12.
