OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
SEISMIC RESEARCH
From November 15th, 2025 till January 31st, 2026, the survey vessel MV BGP Prospector will conduct a seismic survey at nine to twenty-seven nautical miles (9 – 27 NM) off the coast of Suriname.
The research area has the following coordinates:

For safety reasons, vessels should keep a safe distance of at least fifteen nautical miles (15 NM) from the MV BGP Prospector. The survey vessel will be supported by the MV Moonrise G and MV 7 Star.
Please note:
- Communication is through VHF channel 16.
- Vessels should keep a safe distance of at least fifteen nautical miles (15 NM) from the MV BGP Prospector.
- During the operations, the MV BGP Prospector will be restricted in maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
All ships should take notice of the above-mentioned.
