The public is hereby informed that an oil spill has been observed along the left bank of the Suriname River in the Dijkveld area, bordered by fishing company NISAD at position 05° 45′.964 N – 055° 08′.644 W (WGS 84) and Vabi jetty, 05° 47′.558 N – 055° 09′.622 W (WGS 84).

For safety reasons shipping and other water users are asked to keep a safe distance from the oil spill.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
