SURINAME RIVER – DIJKVELDBANK

DREDGING ACTIVITIES

From February 9^th till April 30^th, 2022, dredging work will be conducted in the channel of the Suriname Riverwith the Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Elbe.

The dredging area is situated one kilometer (1 km) north of buoy D2 and one kilometer (1 km) south of buoy D1 and is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS84:

Dredging activities will take place around the clock. The vessel Elbe will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging and will carry the necessary lights and signs.

For passage in the navigation channel, direct communication with the dredging vessel and the Vessel Traffic Control (VTC) of the MAS will be required.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.
