Due to construction work, sand will be supplied during May through June via a floating pipeline on the right bank (Suzannasdaal) in the Suriname River. The work will be carried out by the dredging vessel Lesse. The pipeline is marked by yellow buoys and yellow flashing light at the position 5° 51′.697 N – 55° 5′.353 W (WGS’ 84).
For safety reasons, channel-bound vessels must contact the Vessel Traffic Control (VTC) of the MAS at least 30 (thirty) minutes prior to the passage of Suzannasdaal (5° 51.965’N- 55° 5.377’W to 5° 51.616’N- 55° 5.346’W (WGS’ 84) on VHF channels 12 and the dredger Lesse for the latest information .
The dredging vessel Lesse will be restricted in maneuverability during discharging of sand and will carry the necessary lighting and signs.
