OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
From the 5th till the 31st of March, 2025, scientific instruments will be placed at fifty-five to
eighty nautical miles (55 NM – 80 NM) off the coast of Suriname by the vessel MV Dona Jose II.
At location A, a submerged buoy will be placed at a depth of approximately forty meters (40 m), which will be attached to the seabed by a mooring line. At the locations B and C current meters will be placed near the seabed.

Please note:
- During the operations, the MV Dona Jose II will be restricted in maneuverability and will display the relevant characters.
- Vessels must maintain a safe distance of at least five hundred meters (500 m) from the MV Dona Jose II during the operation.
- Communication is through VHF channel 12.
