With reference to NtM No.18/2024T regarding preparatory work for the dismantling of the Saramaccadoorsteek bridge, the shipping is informed that the channel will be temporarily closed in the following periods:

• Monday 18 to Saturday 23 March 2024 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and
• Monday 25 to Saturday 30 March 2024 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The pontoon K1005 will be used for the execution of the work, which will be propped up along the bank of the canal every day after the work. The pontoon K1005 is unmanned, not powered, and will carry the relevant navigation lights.

Restriction:

• Vessels must pass through the area with caution.
• Passing is only allowed between 6:00 pm and 7:00 am.
• Communication with pontoon K1005 is via mobile: +597 8668666.
