SURINAME RIVER – DIJKVELDBANK
FLOW DIRECTION MEASUREMENT
On the 27th of February 2025 flow direction measurements will be carried out in the Suriname River, between buoys D2 and D10 with the MV Kumaru II, which will be supported by a wooden vessel.
The research area is indicated by the following coordinates:

Please note:
- Red balls will be launched into the research area, which will flow with the current.
- The measurements will take place from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm.
- Communication is through VHF channel 12.
- During the operations, the KUMARU II will display the relevant signs.
All ships should take notice of the above-mentioned.
