With reference to NtM NO.14/2021T, regarding the sunken pontoon near Toevlucht at position 05° 31’.025 N 055° 01’.527 W (WGS’84), the shipping is informed that the wreck has a yellow lamp with the characteristics Fl.Y.4s and visibility range 3-5 NM.

SEISMIC RESEARCH

From March 28th till October 31st, 2021 the survey vessel FUGRO BRASILIS will conduct a seismic survey at sixty-three nautical miles (63 NM) off the coast of Suriname. The research area has the following coordinates:

With reference to NtM NO.16/2021T, regarding passage of the vessel AMA (02644), you are informed that the passage shall be postponed to 16th and 17th of March 2021. The ship will pass the villages along the Cottica River as follows:
1. On March 16th, 2021 between 05:00 – 17:00 hour from Alkmaar to Traymore port.
2. On March 17th, 2021 between 06:00 – 18:00 hour from Traymore port to Alkmaar.

2. On March 15th, 2021 between 06:00 – 18:00 hour from Traymore port to Alkmaar.

TEST DRILLING

With reference to NtM NO.10/2021T, regarding exploration drilling off the Coast of Suriname at the drilling location 07° 25’.5 N – 056° 00’.5 W (WGS 84), you are informed that the drillship Maersk Valiant will conduct test drilling from March 12th till March 18th, 2021 at the drilling location 07° 30’.9 N – 056° 13’.6 W (WGS 84).

For safety reason vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drillship.

Please note:
• Communication is through the VHF channels 16 and 77.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling site.
• Mearsk Valiant is not maneuverable and will display the relevant characters.

With reference to NtM No.12/2021T, regarding the temporary green buoys placed alongside the left bank of the Suriname River north of the “Kuldipsingh Port Facility”, you are informed that the buoys have been replaced by two yellow buoys (light character Iso.G.2s) at positions 05° 46’.852 N – 55° 09’.427 W and 05° 46’.724 N – 55° 09’.345 W.

Please note:
The yellow buoys are placed to simulate the ship passage alongside the “Kuldipsingh Port Facility” and will be removed after three weeks.

TEMPORARY BUOYS KULDIPSINGH PORT FACILITY

From March 2nd, 2021, two green buoys (light character Iso.G.2s 3-5NM) have been temporarily placed alongside the left bank of the Suriname River north of the “Kuldipsingh Port Facility” at positions 05° 46’.852 N – 55° 09’.427 W and 05° 46’.724 N – 55° 09’.345 W.

Please note:
The buoys are solely placed to simulate the ship passage alongside this jetty and are not part of the fairway markings. They will be removed as soon as possible.
Buoy D2 at position 05º46'.823N 55º09'.265W (WGS 84) with light character Iso.G.4s must be maintained for the passage in this part of the fairway.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.

The public is hereby informed that the seismic vessel GEO CARIBBEAN will be anchored 15 nautical miles off the coast of Suriname from March 2nd till May 2nd, 2021 at the position 06° 14'.202 N - 055' 19'.811 W. (WGS84).

Communication will be through VHF channels 16 and 72.

Shipping must take notice of the above mentioned.

RESEARCH DRILLING

The drillship Maersk Valiant will conduct exploration drilling off the Coast of Suriname from March 9th till June 9th, 2021 at the drilling location 07° 25’.5 N – 056° 00’.5 W (WGS 84).

For safety reason vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drillship.
The Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) that will assist during the operations are MV Bourbon Topaz, MV Brad Dartez, MV Timbalier Island, MV Felton Tide and MV Gerard Tide.

Please note:
• Communication is through the VHF channels 16 and 77.

INFRASTRUCTURAL ACTIVITIES DE MOLEN

From 18th till 31st January 2021, infrastructure works will be carried out along the left bank of the Suriname River near De Molen N.V.
The vessels involved are the Tugboat Ramdoel 1 and a pontoon.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates:
