1. On July 10th, 2021 between 05:00 – 17:00 hour from Alkmaar to Traymore port facility.
2. On July 11th, 2021 between 07:00 – 18:00 hour from Traymore port facility to Alkmaar.

From 3rd till 6th of July 2021 dredging activities will take place alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the south end of the "Staatsolie Tout Lui Faut Jetty" with pontoons and tugboats at the position 05° 45’.95 N – 055° 08’.67 W (WGS 84).

The dredged material will be dumped at a privately owned land near Staatsolie Tout Lui Faut at the left bank of the Suriname River.
The operations will take place during daytime.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.

All ships should take notice of the above mentioned.

From July 1st till the 30th of September 2021 dredging activities will take place alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Vabi Port Facility” with pontoons and tugboats.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:

The dredged material will be dumped at a privately owned land near plantation Rust & Werk at the right bank of the Commewijne River.
The operations will take place during daytime.

1. On June 15th, 2021 between 05:00 – 17:00 hour from Alkmaar to Traymore port facility.
2. On June 16th, 2021 between 07:00 – 18:00 hour from Traymore port facility to Alkmaar.

EXPLORATION DRILLING

With reference to NtM NO.10/2021T, regarding exploration drilling off the Coast of Suriname at the drilling location 07° 25’.5 N – 056° 00’.5 W (WGS 84), you are informed that the drillship Maersk Valiant has extended his operations until July 31st ,2021.

For safety reason vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drillship.

Please note:
• Communication is through VHF channels 16 and 77.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling site.
• Maersk Valiant is not maneuverable and will display the relevant characters.

SHIP TO SHIP TRANSFER

From 10th June till 15thJuly 2021, ship to ship transfer will take place off the coast of Suriname. Round logs will be transferred from the barges Big Hub 12 and Big Hub 17 to the MV Tong Ji Men. The barges will be towed by the tugboats Massive 3 and Massive 6.

The operation area is indicated by the following coordinates:

OFF THE COAST OF SURINAME
EXPLORATION DRILLING

With reference to NtM NO.8/2021T, regarding exploration drilling by the drilling rig Maersk Developer, the public is informed that the drilling rig will be moved to the drilling site 07 ° 20'.600 N - 055 ° 57'.100 W (WGS 84). The drilling rig will conduct exploration drilling off the coast of Suriname from May 31st till September 30th, 2021 at this site.

For safety reasons vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling rig.
The Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) that will assist during the operations are MV Bourbon Topaz, MV Brad Dartez, MV Felton Tide and MV Delta Monarch.

Please note:
• Communication is through the VHF channels 16 and 77.

With reference to NtM no.38/2021T, regarding the vessel SALAMINA I which ran aground on position 5°59.395'N and 55° 12.976 W in the vicinity of buoy S6A, the public is informed that the fairway is no longer obstructed.

In the entrance of the Suriname River near buoy S6A the vessel SALAMINA I has run aground on position 5°59.395'N and 55° 12.976 W.
The fairway near the ship is currently obstructed and passage is not possible in the area mentioned above.

In the above-mentioned area the depth on the west side of the fairway is two and a half (2.5) meters at low water. Ships and crafts with less draught can pass on the west side at fifty (50) meters up to one hundred (100) meters from the vessel SALAMINA I and take in to account the tidal height at time of passage and an under-keel clearance of 0.30 meters.

For safety reasons, all ships should approach the area with caution, reduce speed and keep a clear distance of fifty (50) meters from the SALAMINA I.

The operations will take place around the clock (24 hours).

Communication is through VHF channel 12.

DREDGING ACTIVITIES VABI PORT FACILITY

On the 20th and 21st of May 2021 dredging activities will take place alongside the left bank of the Suriname River at the “Vabi Port Facility” by the dredging vessel ELBE.

The working area is indicated by the following coordinates in WGS 84:
        Latitude       Longitude
A  05° 46’.516 N  055° 09’.183 W
B  05° 46’.433 N  055° 09’.050 W

Dredging will be done by the Trailing Suction Hopper Elbe, which will suck the dredged material from the river bottom. The dredged material will be dumped on the western side of the entrance of the Suriname River outside the navigation channel.

The operations will take place around the clock (24 hours). The dredging vessel ELBE will be restricted in maneuverability during dredging.

Communication is through VHF channel 12.
