2. On May 20th, 2020 between 07:00 – 18:00 hour from Traymore Port to Tuit Lui Faut.

SHIP TO SHIP TRANSFER

From 12th till 23rd May 2020, ship to ship transfer will take place off the Coast of Suriname. Round logs will be transferred from the barges Big Hub 12 and Big Hub 17, towed by the tugboats Massive 3 and Massive 6, to the MV Guo Shun.

The operation area is indicated by the following coordinates:

FISHING PROHIBITION

The Maritime Authority Suriname (MAS) hereby informs all users of the Surinamese waterways that in accordance with article 24 sub d of the Harbor Law 1981 (SB 1981 no. 86) it is prohibited to use MAS waterway markings such as buoys and sign posts without permission from the MAS.

It is strictly forbidden to attach vessels and fishing nets to the waterway markings.
In view of the general conditions for inland fishing, it is also prohibited to fish in the channel, 500 (five hundred) meters from mooring places and 500 (five hundred) meters on either side of public water crossing routes and bridges.
Violation of the above is life-threatening to shipping.

In view of the above violent actions will be taken against offenders.

Please Note!
During this period, the working area will not be accessible to shipping and other water users temporarily.

For passage into the navigation channel, direct communication with the dredging vessels and the Vessel Traffic Control of the MAS will be necessary.

2. Op 26 april 2020 tussen 06:00 – 18:00 uur van Traymore haven naar Alkmaar.

MEASURES OF THE MAS WITH REGARD TO COVID-19
INSPECTIONS AND REGISTRATION OF VESSELS

In response to current developments regarding COVID -19 in Suriname, the Maritime Authority Suriname (MAS) is taking the following measures to prevent the virus from spreading further:

1. processing of applications for inspection and registration of vessels is
postponed until April 30th, 2020;
2. hard copy documents will not be accepted until April 30th, 2020;
3. cases that were in process before the lockdown will completed;
4. the final product is sent by email;
5. the validity of the current certificates is extended by one (1) month from today and
6. the certificates of inspected vessels can be collected after the lock-down
period.
